Couture Creations | Sea Breeze Scrapbook Layout

Welcome to my post today which is a simple and elegant layout I have created with the Sea Breeze collection.  The Sea Breeze collection of papers and embellishments are timeless and still remain popular even though they were released some time ago.

This design would also look just as stunning created with either the C’est la Vie or soon to be released Seaside & Me collections.

I have blended some turquoise ink over the edges of the Hot Foiled and fussy-cut title – which I have created with a piece of patterned paper and deliberately taken from the Go Press & Foil early so that it had a softer finish that didn’t compete with the photograph.

Many of the Couture Creations collections have coordinating embellishments and charms which are perfect for tucking into a cluster of flowers and ribbons.

The strips along the top of my layout are 5.75″x1.5″ and are cut from the Seabreeze 6×6 paper pad.  The thin strip of paper along the bottom of these strips is the barcode from the background patterned paper.  The strips are stuck 1″ from the top of the layout and the photograph has been double-matted with patterned papers from the same paper pad.

Couture Creations | C’est la Vie Scrapbook Layout featuring Nouveau Dies and Hot Foiling

Welcome to my post today which is a layout and process video I created with the Couture Creations C’est la Vie collection and some Hot Foiling.  I have used a full sheet of paper for the background and lots of scraps to make up the rest of the layout.

I used the Nouveau collection Bodice Cut, Foil and Emboss die with pink Hot Foil and a Metal Trinket to finish the left-hand embellishment cluster.

I have also Hot Foiled the chipboard title and flowers with the same pink foil and the Go, Press & Foil Machine.

Really this layout is very simple to re-create as it uses minimal paper and embellishments, allowing the photograph and Hot Foiling to be the superstars.

Couture Creations | Seaside & Me Card with Hot Foiling

Hi Everyone, and welcome to my post today which is a card I have created with the soon to be released Couture Creations Seaside & Me collection.  I have used a 6×6 paper pad and Kraft A6 Cards & Envelope to create my card, along with the beautiful Silver Hot Foil that comes as a bonus when you purchase a Go, Press & Foil Machine.

I have kept my card design clean and simple to make the Silver Hot Foiling the hero.

I started by Hot Foiling the Angel Fish Hot Foil Stamp with the Silver Hot Foil onto the bottom left-hand corner of the envelope I intended to use.  You will need to use a single piece of cardstock as a shim when Hot Foiling Envelopes as they are very thin.  You will also need to make sure that as soon as you remove the envelope from the Go, Press & Foil Machine to open the envelope, or it could seal shut.

It is also essential to make sure that your envelope cools fully before removing the Hot Foil sheet.

I think that the resulting embellished envelope speaks for itself, however I am a super fan of Hot Foiling with the Go, Press & Foil Machine.

My next experimental technique with the Go, Press & Foil Machine that I love using to create that extra Pop of Foil on my projects is diecutting a shape from cardstock or patterned paper (as in this case) and then Hot Foiling it with some texture.  For this card I have used the Seaside & Me Branching Coral cutting die and the Swirling Seas Hot Foil Stamp with the Silver Hot Foil that comes with the Go, Press & Foil Machine.

I find that Die-cutting prior to Hot Foiling gives a cleaner and less damaged finished embellishment.  As I have used patterned paper to cut the Branching Coral I have once again used a single piece of cardstock as a shim – adding the bonus of a slight emboss to the finished design.

I have also used the Go, Press & Foil Machine to apply the Silver Hot Foil to the chipboard banner words (which I then distressed) and another Angel Fish on patterned paper (which I also fussy-cut and matted before raising on foam tape).  I have also used some of another A6 Kraft Card that I had previously cut apart with the Scaley Embossing Folder on the front of my card.

Below I am going to share some linked images of the products I have used….

Couture Creations | Seaside & Me Treasures Scrapbook Layout with Bonus Sketch

Hi Everyone, and welcome to my post today which is a layout I have created with the new release Couture Creations Seaside & Me collection.  I have used a 6×6 paper pad to create my layout, along with three shades of cardstock and some Hot Foiled Chipboard from the Seaside & Me collection.

To unify the layers and elements on my layout I have distressed and inked all of the edges.  After layering my background pieces I have mixed the Pigment Powder with Acrylic Gesso and some water and flicked it over the background with a fan brush.

I used a sander to slightly scuff the Hot Foiled Chipboard pieces before adding some ink with a sponge dauber – helping these elements to unify with the other distress page elements.

The Seaside & Me paper pad includes some fun elements and images that are perfect for fussy-cutting and adding to projects with foam tape.

As a Bonus today I have created a sketch of my layout, and would love to see what you create with it too…..

Well I guess that is it for me today, except to share some linked images of the products I have used….

Couture Creations | Foamiran Flower Card with Bonus Video

Hi Everyone, and welcome to my post today which is a card that has a Foamiran Flower on it, and as a bonus I have created a video showing how I have created this flower.  My video is a warts-and-all affair where I show how I use imperfect and torn flower layers.

I have used two cream cardbases in the creation of my card – one for the base and the other has been used for the embossed layers and the Hot Foiled Sentiment.  I have also incorporated a Cut, Foil & Emboss Feather from the new Nouveau collection in my card.

The Hot Foil colour I have used is the new Pale Gold Mirror finish from the new release Hot Foil colours range.  And yes I have fussy-cut around the Hot Foiled ‘Celebrate’ Sentiment and then raised it from the surface of my card using tiny pieces of Foam Tape.

I share in my video how I alter brads to use as Flower centres that co-ordinate with my projects – so I never have the wrong colour flower centres because I make them co-ordinate with this technique.

I also share in my video that there is no shame in using some strategically placed glue to dictate how a flower sits on a project.

So without further discussion here is my Foamiran Flower Tutorial video, which you can also find on YouTube——>here.

Well I guess that is it for me today, except to share some linked images of the products I have used….
