Couture Creations | Foamiran Flower Card with Bonus Video

Hi Everyone, and welcome to my post today which is a card that has a Foamiran Flower on it, and as a bonus I have created a video showing how I have created this flower.  My video is a warts-and-all affair where I show how I use imperfect and torn flower layers.

I have used two cream cardbases in the creation of my card – one for the base and the other has been used for the embossed layers and the Hot Foiled Sentiment.  I have also incorporated a Cut, Foil & Emboss Feather from the new Nouveau collection in my card.

The Hot Foil colour I have used is the new Pale Gold Mirror finish from the new release Hot Foil colours range.  And yes I have fussy-cut around the Hot Foiled ‘Celebrate’ Sentiment and then raised it from the surface of my card using tiny pieces of Foam Tape.

I share in my video how I alter brads to use as Flower centres that co-ordinate with my projects – so I never have the wrong colour flower centres because I make them co-ordinate with this technique.

I also share in my video that there is no shame in using some strategically placed glue to dictate how a flower sits on a project.

So without further discussion here is my Foamiran Flower Tutorial video, which you can also find on YouTube——>here.

Well I guess that is it for me today, except to share some linked images of the products I have used….

Couture Creations | Cést la Vie | Life is Beautiful Card

Hi Everyone, and welcome to my post today which is a simple but effective tri-fold card that I have created with two A6 Kraft Cardbases and the lovely C’est la Vie scraps I am still using.

I started my card by altering the flowers which were originally white – by mixing some Pigment Powder (Red) with White Gesso and then painting the flowers.  Once the flowers were dry I then spread some Dimensional Magic in the centre and coated it with gold glitter (this took quite a while to dry).

This photograph shows how I have backed the Birdcage cut from Kraft (cardbase) with a scrap of pale blue C’est la Vie patterned paper.

I just love the Embellishments that come with the C’est la Vie collection, they truly add a touch of elegance to any project.

The title for my Card was on one of the patterned papers in the 12×12 paper pad, and there is also a smaller version in the 6×6 paper pad which I have already used on another project.

If you would like a pattern (pdf) showing the measurements for the different layers and base of this card please leave a comment on this post – and we will email it to you.

Well I guess that is it for me today, except to share a list of the products I have used and I would love to hear your thoughts on this different way of sharing what I have used (or how I was previously sharing the full line-up of Couture Creations products I was using)…..
