Kaisercraft May Blog Challenge – Memorable Times

Hello and welcome to my post about the layout I have created for the Kaisercraft May Blog Challenge.  I have used photoraphs of Amelia-Ann and I at my store (Scrapbook Fantasies) during a recent class.

I have used papers and collectables from the Kaisercraft Bombay Sunset collection, along with some leftover bits and pieces from recent layouts.  I smooshed some mists onto the background and inked each item with a co-ordinating ink.

The challenge was to choose a row from the board and use an item for each letter in the row, and I chose the bottom row of f, b, m –

  • Flowers
  • Bling
  • Mist

That is my take on the Kaisercraft May Blog Challenge, and this is the board:

Let’s Get Sketchy – May 15 Sketch – Adventure Awaits

Hello and welcome to my post about the Let’s Get Sketchy May 15 Sketch, and my take on the challenge.  I have used some photographs of Amelia-Ann after an incident with a Tim Holtz inkpad.

I created this layout at the recent Scrapbook Fantasies Retreat hosted by my husband and myself, and yes it does have a facing page that I posted recently – here.

For this second layout in the pair I have kept to the same colours and pack of old stash, just adding a few extra bits and pieces from the tub of leftovers on my desk.

So that is my take on the Let’s Get Sketchy May 15 Sketch and here is the sketch:

Stuck?! Sketches 1 May 2017 Challenge – Lovely

Hello and welcome to my post about the Stuck?! Sketches 1 May 2017 Challenge, and my take on the sketch.  I have used some photographs of Naomi-Jon on her way to her Year 10 Formal last year, and yes this is another layout that I created at the recent Scrapbook Fantasies Retreat hosted by my husband and myself.

I have followed the sketch as closely as I could using some of my favourite Prima products, especially the paper which I have used several sheets of to get all of the fussy-cut elements and the background.

I love hos these photographs capture a moment in time in Naomi-Jon’s life when she didn’t wear glasses (evident by her obvious light sensitivity) and her Eczema wasn’t completely controlling her life.

So there you have it, my take on the Stuck?! Sketches 1 May 2017 Challenge:

Stuck?! Sketches 15 May 2017 Challenge – Smile

Hello and welcome to my post about the Stuck?! Sketches 15 May 2017 Challenge, and my take on the sketch.  I have used some a selfie my best friend Joanna took with Amelia-Ann recently.  This is another layout that I created at the recent Scrapbook Fantasies Retreat hosted by my husband and myself.

I have followed the sketch as closely as I could using a pack of really old bits and pieces from my stash.  I added some sequins, diecuts and flowers left from other layouts to finish my layout.

The outer frame was on one of the papers in this pack, and as we would usually remove the outer frame to use the inner scalloped shape I decided to be different and use the inverted scalloped frame instead.

So there you have it, my take on the Stuck?! Sketches 15 May 2017 Challenge:

Scrap Our Stash Tic Tac Toe Challenge – May 2017 – Happy Inky Girl

Hi and welcome back for a post about a layout I created at the recent Scrapbook Fantasies Retreat that my husband and I hosted.

This is the layout I created for the current Scrap Our Stash challenge, which is to use a row from a Tic-Tac-Toe board – which I used 3 plus patterned papers, tickets and vellum – using a pack of really old stuff I had in my stash from around 2007.

Most of the product in the pack was from Basic Grey when it was single sided, Sandylion which is super hard to get now and a Chipboard company that disappeared about five years ago.  It was all originally part of a Designer Scrapbooking Kit that we used to sell at Scrapbook Fantasies, so there wasn’t a real lot left to play with – hence raiding my stash of Prima Flower Orphans was required.

I have used pinecone ink on the edges to unify all of the elements (old and new) – that was also something I would have done “Back in the Day” too.  The Butterfly diecut is new and I have coated it with liquid pearls to give it a bit of shimmer and interest.

So that is my take on the May Tic Tac Toe challenge from Scrap Our Stash:
