Hello everyone and welcome today to my announcement that I have made it onto the Scrap Our Stash Design Team!
I would like to say a huge Thank You to Brenda and Rochelle for inviting me to join their awesome team, and congratulations to the other three new team members – Maria Rose, Angela Weisbeck and Carrie Williams.
If you visit the Scrap Our Stash Design Team Page you can read all about the new and returning designers. Don’t forget to stop by their blogs, check out their amazing work and leave them some love!
And most certainly make sure to keep visiting the Scrap our Stash blog over the next six months to see all of the creative ideas the team will be putting together to share with our followers!
Designers Steffanie Seiler and Cassie Wiscarson have decided not to continue with the team and we will surely miss both of them, the amazing creativity they have shared with us, as well as all of their support and dedication to Scrap Our Stash. The whole team wish them the best in their future endeavours and hope that you continue to follow each of these ladies!
Happy Creating, have a wonderful day and be sure to visit the Scrap Our Stash blog tomorrow for the reveal of the June Sketch Challenge!
I have used Lindy’s Stamp Gang Mists to create a watery background, with touches of Violet just to show that our beautiful little grey human (Madeline) is a girl. Madeline loves her boats, and is a bit protective of them when they return home each time.
Hello and welcome to May and a new challenge at the 123 Challenge Blog, using one of my favourite colours (Teal), my favourite type of people (Family) and one of my favourite tools (Stencils).
I have used a photograph of my brother and I with our Great Aunt Shirley and Great Uncle Keith, both of whom are no longer with us – and are very dearly missed. I was pregnant with our oldest son in this photograph, and the event was a 21st Birthday Party I had organised for my brother.
I chose to create my layout with the Kaisercraft Island Escape collection and a whole heap of embellishments and goodies – some I created and some I had lingering in my stash.
I have used Lindy’s Stamp Gang Mists, white Gesso and Stickles to create my layered Mixed Media background.
That is it from me for the time being, and it is over to you to create with this beautiful challenge at the 123 Challenge Blog:
I did lots of fussy cutting from the papers, including the title – made some banners and did a bit of mist flicking on the background. The biggest challenge was finding some Easter photographs that I hadn’t scrapbooked already.
Hello and welcome to April, which means that a quarter of the year has already passed us by – and we are finally getting a reprieve from the hot summer weather here in Central Queensland, well only a couple of degrees so far but it is a start.
A new month means a new Challenge at the 123 Challenge Blog, which I really enjoyed creating with. And not just because it is my challenge either….
I chose to create my layout with the brand new release Kaisercraft High Tea collection, which lent towards some serious fussy cutting and beautiful floral layers.
The challenge criteria is to use the colour Pink (easy with two girls), the word “Beautiful” (which happened to be on the matching sticker sheet) and Hearts (also easy with two girls).
I have used a photograph of Naomi-Jon, which as always shows how similar my girls are in appearance – so much so that Amelia-Ann won’t try to guess who a photograph is of anymore.
So now that is it from me for the time being, and it is over to you to create with this beautiful challenge at the 123 Challenge Blog:
Happy New Year everyone – and I for one am working on 2017 being a much better year for myself and my family. We have had a few years of bad luck and heartache, which is all going to change!
The new year means a new month and a new Challenge at the 123 Challenge Blog, which I really loved creating with. And not just because it is my challenge either….
I chose to grab a pack of leftovers from my stash and a photograph of Milton and one of his cooking triumphs. Milton is becoming quite a good cook – when he doesn’t tweak the recipe too much in one of his experimental moods.
I have used a few layers of paper and die-cuts, some mist spots and sequins to create my simple layout – which I wanted to be all about the photograph and journaling even though they were only small.
I love how the three colours of Lindy’s Stamp Gang Mist (Yellow Rose of Texas, Lucky Shamrock Green, Hydrangea Blue) overlapped and slightly mixed as they dried – naturally of course.
This pack is actually some of the leftovers from several classes I did earlier in 2016 using the Kaisercraft Pop! collection – not bad for a pack of scraps.
The effort that Milton has put into learning to cook and look after himself has truly paid off now that he is an adult and he can impress his friends with his skills in the kitchen or on the BBQ. Apparently the girls in his group of friends appreciate his skills the most.
So now that is it from me for the time being, and it is over to you to create with this awesome challenge at the 123 Challenge Blog:
The challenge this month at the 123 Challenge Blog is perfect for Girly photographs, like the one I have used of my beautiful girls – Naomi-Jon and Amelia-Ann. Yes, we love hyphens for girls and James as the middle name for boys – just two little traditions of our very own.
I have used the gorgeous Cocoa Vanilla Studio Love Always Collection – which has to be my favourite from this awesome brand so far this year…..that revelation could change this month when I get my hands on the new Endless Summer Collection, as it looks pretty awesome.
The Challenge is to use the colour Peach, the word Pretty and the technique of Pleats. Which was pretty easy to accomplish with all of the lovely ranges around at the moment that either feature Peach or work very well combined with Peach.
When you visit the 123 Challenge Blog you may just realise a bit of a secret…..as I am actually the Owner of the 123 Challenge Blog, and have been for over two years now. It’s not that it is a secret, but it is something that I am careful with as I also own the main sponsor Scrapbook Fantasies (an arrangement in place long before I took over the site). So now you know that Challenge Blog Owner is another one of the dozen or so hats I wear.
The Bits& Pieces packs were a new product line to Cocoa Vanilla Studio this year, starting with the Love Always Collection. This little pack of awesomeness is a must when I create as it includes lots of little bits of co-ordinated goodness that work so well with my layered style. I also love the new adhesive Chipboard and Vellum Die-cuts too……just yum!
Now it’s your turn to have a go at the challenge, and don’t forget to check out the awesome layouts created by the 123 Challenge Design Team —— here!
I am back today to share my September DT layout for the Another Freaking Scrappy Challenge – which is to create with Red. I haven’t used any patterned papers, just cardstock and embellishments.
The title is a Heidi Swapp die and red cardstock, over a feather left over from my Retreat pack from the Scrapbook Fantasies Winter 2016 Retreat. The glitter on the background is still hanging around in my studio, appearing on random projects and children – very sticky and loaded with static.
The gorgeous flowers are from the Colour Me Happy range from Cocoa Vanilla Studio, and along with some silver thread, enamel accents, that glitter and a few other touches make for a pretty cluster of embellishments.
The butterfly template I have used on the background with Lindy’s Stamp Gang Mist is one of the most well used ones in my collection – a definite favourite.
Happy Creating and have a wonderful day
