DT Reveal – Scrap Our Stash – October 2017 Tic Tac Toe Challenge

Welcome to my SOS Tic Tac Toe post for October and a fabulous challenge with a fall and Halloween theme.

I have used the left hand vertical row of Orange, Doily and Mini Alphas to Scrapbook the photographs of Amelia-Ann on the day she made a huge GLITTER mess at work. Yes I own and work at a Scrapbook Store, and yes I take my toddler to work each day – which is trouble free 99.9% of the time.

Well that is my take on the October Tic Tac Toe Challenge, and now it is over to you – which row will you choose and how will you create with it…..

Happy Creating and have a wonderful day

DT Reveal – Scrap Our Stash – August 2017 Tic Tac Toe Challenge

I had an awesome time creating with this month’s SOS Tic Tac Toe Challenge…

I have had this photograph of Noah from last year’s Book Week waiting for the perfect papers and inspiration – so when the You Rock collection by Cocoa Vanilla Studio was released I knew it was the one and then this month’s Tic Tac Toe Stash Challenge sealed the deal with the perfect inspiration.  I have used the colour Blue, Polaroid (frames) and Hexagons.  I used lots of layers as always using words and embellishments to express what I wanted to say about my awesome boy.

I have inked the edges of all of the elements and used the Polaroid frames over the photographs to highlight Noah’s face and hands in the traditional Yu-Gi-Oh! pose.  The wooden star and arrows have been coated in Enamel Accents to give some shine to the layout and boost the presence of my feature colour – Blue.

Well that is my take on the August Tic Tac Toe Challenge, and now it is over to you – which row will you choose and how will you create with it…..

Happy Creating and have a wonderful day

DT Reveal – Scrap Our Stash – July 2017 Sketch Challenge – Capture Life

Hello again and thank you for visiting my post sharing my take on the SOS Sketch and Word Challenge for July, which includes an awesome sketch and the word – FIREWORKS.

The stash items I have used for the word FIREWORKS are:

  • F – Flowers, Feathers
  • I – Ink (through a stencil and splattered on background)
  • R – Resin Flowers, Rhinestones
  • E – Epoxy/Enamel Dots
  • W – Wooden Leaves
  • O – Overlay (filmstrip printed)
  • R – Roses, Ribbon
  • K – Key Charm
  • S – Sequins, String

Wow that was a long word, which worked perfectly for my layered shabby chic layout.  The photograph is of my dear friend Tricia, who we stay with when we go to Brisbane – and loves us just the way we are!  Oh, and best of all Tricia is a Scrapbooker too.

I cut the timber paper apart and distressed it before putting it back together on the double frames.  I have then used the ink and stencil randomly on the background before adding the layers of papers and then some splotches of shimmer inks.

The photograph was added last of all after all of the embellishments which include flowers, leaves (diecut and wooden), string, key charm, ribbon, resin flowers, sequins, pearls, enamel/epoxy dots, filmstrip overlay cut into sections, diecut doily, feathers and rhinestones.

Well that is my take on the July Sketch and Word Challenge, and now it is over to you…..

Happy Creating and have a wonderful day

DT Reveal – Scrap Our Stash – July 2017 Tic Tac Toe Challenge – Lovely Girl

Hi Everyone and welcome to my first layout as a Scrap Our Stash Design Team member. I had an awesome time creating with this month’s SOS Tic Tac Toe Challenge, and used the diagonal row – Striped Paper, Stars and Twine.

I have used Daydreamer papers which are perfect for this photograph of my beautiful teenage daughter, Naomi-Jon. I actually originally thought the photograph was of her when she was about to compete in a Raft Race at our local Harbour Festival this past Easter – however it is actually a picture of her at a Family Fun Night and Christmas Break-up Party at the South Pool last December.

I have smushed some yellow mist on the background before flicking around some pink and silver mists. The lace border is peach glitter cardstock cut with a cutting die.

As I love layers I have used the co-ordinating stickers and diecuts from the Daydreamer collection to send some messages of love and support to Naomi-Jon. Along with the sequins, pearls and stars, the shimmer twine was a finishing touch to help my layout pop.

Well that is my take on the July Tic Tac Toe Challenge, and now it is over to you – which row will you choose and how will you create with it…..

Happy Creating and have a wonderful day
