Noah and his Art

Noah did some painting on Saturday aftenoon and he has been bugging me to share it here with you all.

Noah's Painting

And this is what the water looked like when he was finished!

The water after Noah's Painting

He also wanted me to say a huge thank you to everyone who sent him letters, cards, stickers, photographs and special goodies after my post about his mail obsession (here).

I will try to find all the lovely things he received and get a photograph of him with them to share in the coming days.

A Special Request

Noah and his Art

I have a strange, and yet very special request.  As some of you know my youngest son, Noah has Aspergers which means that he is very intelligent, has next to no natural social skills and can at times get quite fixated on things.  Well that leads me to my special request…Noah is very upset at the moment because everyone else gets mail except for him.  So what I am asking is would anyone be willing to send him some mail, whether it be a postcard, note, letter or card.  I don’t want anyone to go to any expense, just make a little boy happy.

I have resorted to ordering him books online, however he doesn’t like to wait that long – especially when we have pre-ordered some that haven’t even been printed yet.  Quentin has sent him some postcards, which we think the posty is actually walking here they are that slow.

Noah is very loving, never angry or mad, doesn’t throw tantrums and has a capacity to learn anything.

His address for anyone interested is:

Noah Redshaw
PO Box 8247
South Gladstone  Qld  4680 (Australia)

Thank you to anyone who sends him a note, postcard or letter – we really appreciate it as will Noah.

Some Pics to Share

On Sunday the boys and I drove to Maryborough to visit our happy (and very dirty) campers.  Naomi-Jon and Quentin are currently at the 23rd Australian Scout Jamboree being held at the Maryborough Equestrian Centre (and the surrounding bushland).  There are over 12000 people on site and about 90% of them are children.  We had a fun day visiting, even with the dust and mud – well worth the drive to see our loved ones enjoying themselves.

Happy Campers

This little fellow was visiting our garden this morning, and he had a wonderful time letting the world know he was there with his lovely singing and dancing.

Our Little Visitor

I also have to share a photograph of Noah and his art that he created in my Mixed Media Paper Doll Class last Friday at Scrapbook Fantasies.  There is also a photograph of some of the other participants and there creations at the Scrapbook Fantasies Blog (here).

Creative Family Time

I have to share some creations that have we have been making this week.

Milton made this yesterday afternoon for one of Noah’s Ponies to live in, and yes it did get a little squished in a block tower disaster the first time he played with it today.  I am so proud of his design and mathematical engineering to get some of the tricky parts to work first go.

I made this Alphabet book for Noah at work yesterday.  It took three hours and is a combination of several of my really really really old classes.  It isn’t finished yet as I am trying to get some “Cued Articulation” pictures to go on the pages, to back what he learns at School.

And under Naomi-Jon’s instructions and to her design requirements I designed and created this lovely Barbie Doll House Bookcase.  She already has it full of books (she has created with cardstock) and ornaments/trinkets.  Her wishlist includes a study desk and chair so that Barbie can further her education!
